Tumpal

North coast of Java, and across the archipelago

Rows of tall triangles, often called pucuk rebung, young bamboo shoots. Read as growth and hope, since bamboo grows fast and strong.

Placed at the kepala, the head panel of a sarung, and along the edges of kain and songket.

Deretan segitiga tinggi, sering disebut pucuk rebung. Dimaknai sebagai pertumbuhan dan harapan, karena bambu tumbuh cepat dan kuat.
